Dear Sq’éwqel,

We come together in gratitude and celebration of Nigel Selvaduari, who has been selected to become CEO of Sq’éwqel Development Corporation.

For many years, Nigel has walked alongside our staff, community, and leadership, dedicating his time and heart to strengthening Seabird Island as our Director of Finance and Administration. Over the past several months, Nigel has carried the responsibilities of Acting CEO of Sq’éwqel Development Corporation with care, ensuring that our economic opportunities continued to grow in a good way. Now, we lift Nigel up as he takes on this next step as our CEO of Sq’éwqel Development Corporation. We know he will serve Sq’éwqel Development Corporation with the same commitment and vision as he has shown to Sq’éwqel over these many years.

We honour Nigel’s contributions to Sq’éwqel, and we have no doubt he will continue to bring these strengths into his new role. While his path now takes him to the Development Corporation, he remains a part of our community, and we look forward to seeing the great things they will accomplish for Sq’éwqel in this new role.
